You may request for them to send their letters of recommendation prior to this via the PDF form provided.
Current Mills students or alumni: Please contact the Office of Graduate Admission for specific instructions regarding transcripts.
International students should be aware of the Special Information for International Students section which outlines additional admission requirements.

Teacher Education Program
All students who apply to a teaching credential program are simultaneously considered for admission to the master's degree in education with an emphasis in teaching (MEET) Program; applicants to the multiple subject credential program may apply to either the MEET program or the master's degree in early childhood education (ECE) program. The MEET program may be completed on a part-time or full-time basis at any point within the five years following completion of the credential program. The master's degree in ECE must be completed in a second year of full-time study.
Multiple Subject Credential In addition to completion of a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution, admission to this program requires:
- Submission of the 40 Hour Verification Form, documenting at least 40 hours of volunteer or paid work in a school or school-like setting. Ideally, this experience would be working with groups of children and not exclusively working one-on-one, such as an individual tutor. It is also preferred that applicants gain experience that will prepare them for working with the culturally and linguistically diverse student population of the Bay Area; thus, applicants might want to consider seeking opportunities to work with students from backgrounds different from their own. In addition to volunteer positions offered by public school districts, applicants might want to consider opportunities to work with children or youth in after-school programs, religious or other community-based organizations, museums, sports teams, and summer camps. The 40 Hour Verification Form is due by the time of enrollment; it may be submitted with application materials or sent separately at a later date.
- Official paper documentation or electronic access to your passing scores for either a) three CSET Multiple Subjects tests and all portions of the CBEST, or b) three CSET Multiple Subjects tests and the CSET writing test. These tests must be passed prior to enrollment in August; at the time of application, we will accept either documentation of passing scores or indication of registered test dates prior to July 1.
Single Subject Credential: Art, English, Foreign Languages, Math, Science, or Social Studies In addition to completion of a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution, admission to this program requires:
- Official paper documentation or electronic access to your passing scores for all portions of the CSET for a particular subject area and for all portions of the CBEST. These tests must be passed prior to enrollment in August; at the time of application, we will accept either documentation of passing scores or indication of registered test dates prior to July 1.
