Information Sessions
Throughout the academic year, the School of Education hosts monthly information sessions where faculty, staff, and students describe our programs and answer individual questions from prospective students. We explain the admission and financial aid processes and meet in small groups to provide an insider's view of our programs. Light refreshments are served.

Feeling mystified by the application process? In this interactive workshop, representatives from the School of Education, the MBA program, and the Public Policy program at Mills will discuss the personal statement, letters of recommendation, interviews, and financial aid.

Visit Classes
During the fall or spring semester, it is possible for applicants to make arrangements to sit in on a class. This gives you a first-hand opportunity to experience life as a student in the School of Education at Mills. It is essential that you gain permission of the instructor ahead of time, so please send a message to education@mills.edu and we'll provide you with a schedule of dates and times for classes that are available to visit.

Tour the Mills College Children’s School
One of the unique features of the School of Education is the innovative on-campus laboratory school. The oldest school of its kind in the West, the Children's School offers a unique opportunity for study and research. Individual or small group tours of the Children’s School may be arranged by calling 510.430.3170 or writing to education@mills.edu.

Speak with a Current Student or Recent Alum
We would be happy to put you in direct contact with a current student or a recent alum from any of our programs. Just let us know your program of interest and we will put you in touch with someone who has recently enrolled in that program; please contact us at education@mills.edu.

Individual Interviews
We take a highly personalized approach to admitting students into our programs, so every applicant is interviewed by at least one faculty member. We will contact you once your application is complete, but if you live out of the area, you are encouraged to let us know when a visit would be convenient, or we can arrange a telephone interview.
