An Active Community of Writers and Scholars The English Department is excited to announce a new 3-year program option for the MA in English and American Literature and the MFA in Creative Writing. We developed this new option to offer more flexible scheduling and tuition options for graduate students. See the FAQ page for more information on the 2- and 3-year program tracks. Located in the heart of the San Francisco Bay Area—one of the most vital literary centers in the nation—Mills College offers four renowned graduates degrees in English: MA in English and American Literature MFA in Creative Writing, Poetry MFA in Creative Writing, Prose MFA in Book Art and Creative Writing Studying with widely published and accomplished faculty and well-known visiting writers, graduate students in English become part of a vibrant literary scene.
