Graduate English Requirements & Deadlines

Application Deadlines

The priority deadline for receipt of all application materials is February 1 for fall admission. English graduate programs (including Book Art & Creative Writing) do not accept applications for the spring term. Visit our application page to apply online or download forms.

Most English graduate programs review applications on a rolling admission basis after the priority deadline.  Please note that the MFA in Book Art and Creative Writing does not accept applications on a rolling admissions basis.  All application materials for this program must be received by February 1 to be considered for fall admission.

Applications are reviewed when all supporting materials are received, and official notification of an admission decision is sent in writing from the Office of Graduate Admission. We encourage all applicants to apply before the February 1 deadline.
