Career Management Conference - Saturday, September 8, 2012
A daylong series of seminars and activities designed to help you clarify your post-MBA career goals and develop your skills in personal branding, networking, and effective resume writing. Attendance is mandatory for all students who plan to participate in Career Services Office (CSO) programs, events and/or recruiting activities. Topics covered will guide you in preparation of your GSB resume submitted to CSO for required approval. After the conference, attendees will have access to professional resume experts and peer coaches to help meet the Fall resume submission deadline.
Note: Effective Fall 2012 - students are required have a 'CSO" approved resume to be eligible for personal GSB business cards, GSB conference attendance, job/internship recruitment interviews, employer resume books and job/internships posting access. At the conference, attendees will have the opportunity to sign up and work with a Resume Professional September 10 - September 17. Details will be provided at the conference.
Deadline for Fall CSO Resume Approval: September 19,2012
Attendance at this conference requires approximately 2hrs of pre-work. Pre-work includes:
StrengthFinders (30 minutes): Online self-assessment that provides a framework for understanding strengths that lead to career and academic success.
Current Resume in New GSB Resume Format (1 hr): Create new GSB resume using CSO's new designs customized for career launchers, changers and advancers.
