CareerHub is our online portal for the Career Services Office. All Lokey School students are expected to have accounts on CareerHub and know how to search for internships/jobs, make career advising appointments, RSVP for events, and use the only resource library. Please join us for a brief overview and training so that you can get up to speed quickly (and painlessly!).

CSRBrunch: Unpacking Social Justice

The desperate need for social justice work has come to the forefront of our country. But where do we begin? To move forward, we must have open, honest, and vulnerable conversations in our communities that address our current state and lead us to a clearer focus on achieving justice in our cities. Please join CSRB for a World Café style brunch. Designed as a forum for collaborative dialogue where there is no predetermined answer or solution, World Café’s focus is on exploring and innovating on themes that evoke dialogic learning and collective intelligence.

Panel: Careers in Socially Responsible Business and Public Policy

Learn from and speak with experienced public policy, non-profit, and private sector innovators and leaders about successfully finding your true work path, proven career strategies, and what employers are looking for in today's market. Following the panel discussion, we will host a networking reception with the speakers.

On-Campus Recruiter: AT&T Leadership Development Program: Internships & Fulltime Opportunities

5:00 - 6:00pm: Preliminary Mini-Interviews (15 minute appointments; appointments must be made in advance)
Working with AT&T is a great opportunity for MBA and Joint degree students! The Lokey School at Mills has a long-standing relationship with AT&T and many students have secured internships with the company and been admitted to their prestigious Leadership Development Program (LDP). There are opportunities in general management, HR, and finance. All of the AT&T opportunities focus on sharpening personal and professional skills to enhance your leadership capacity.

Note that the application timeline for AT&T is very tight, so if you are at all interested, please make an appointment with Chris now to make sure you have a single page CSO-approved resume to submit by the deadline of September 28.

Internship Eligibility: students who are returning to Mills in Fall 2016
Fulltime Eligibility: students who are graduating in Dec 2015 or May 2016 (or alums who graduated in May 2015)

4:00 - 5:00: General Information Session
Anyone with an interest in learning more about the AT&T internship and fulltime opportunities should attend this session. Even if you're not planning to apply this year, please come to learn how you can best use your time at Mills to prepare a competitive application for AT&T in the future. You do not need a CSO-approved resume to attend the info session, though you will need one to apply for an opportunity with the company.

5:00 - 6:00: Preliminary Mini-Interviews

Those interested in pursuing the opportunity further should sign up now for a 15-minute one-on-one conversation with representatives from the AT&T Leadership Development Program. These interviews are an informational opportunity for you and an evaluative opportunity for AT&T to learn more about you. You do need a CSO-approved resume to participate in an interview. Please bring a printed version of it (preferably on resume paper) and wear professional attire.

Do you know you need to work on your LinkedIn profile, but never seem to find the time to actually sit down and do it? You’re not alone! Come work on your profile alongside your classmates in a supportive atmosphere. Chris and Ilana will be available to answer questions and help you brainstorm creative ways to stand out from the crowd. (Please bring your own laptop, if you have one. If you don’t, laptops will be available for you to borrow.)

On-Campus Recruiter: Performance Management & Policy Analysis with the California State Auditor’s Office

Calling all MPP students: become a professional problem-solver! The CA State Auditor’s Office is experiencing unprecedented growth and is especially interested in hiring from Mills. The roles are project-based and focus on all areas of public policy, including education, criminal justice, environmental sustainability, community development, and healthcare (to name just a few). This info session will teach you about open positions and how to put together a strong application and ace the interviews. First years should come to learn more about preparing for a role with the Office. Soon-to-be-grads should come to learn how to apply for the summer 2016 cohort of new hires.

On-Campus Recruiter: Education Pioneers Fellowships (summer & year-long opportunities)

Education Pioneers offers paid summer ($7,000) and year-long ($50k - $80k) opportunities in the field of education reform in the Bay Area and other areas across the country. This is a great opportunity for all Lokey School students as there is a wide variety of placements types and roles. Mills business and policy students have an excellent record of success with Education Pioneers and the organization is actively recruiting Mills graduate students for summer 2016 internships and post-graduate placements.
