We are excited to announce that Isabel Cortes (MPP '13) and Anne Moses, President of Ignite and Mills Public Policy Adjunct Professor, were named Susan B. Anthony Honorees by the National Women's Political Caucus Alameda North Chapter.

Congratulations to Lori Droste (MPP '11), Carla Hansen (MPP '11), and Natasha Middleton (MPP '13) on their acceptance into Emerge California, a rigorous training program for women who aspire to run for office. We look forward to seeing their names on a ballot in the near future!

Professor Sharyl Rabinovici was recently elected as a director at large of the Northern California Chapter of the Earthquake Engineering Research Institute (EERI). EERI is a national society of engineers, geoscientists, architects, planners, public officials, and social scientists working to reduce earthquake risk.

Professor Carol Chetkovich was featured as a social movements expert in Diablo Magazine's article about solutions to our nation's toughest problems. In her words: “We can't fix the economic problems until we fix the political system.” Read more here.

Dr. Matthew Hubbard will open the evening with an update on national polling methods and findings.

Immediately after the debate, Professor Larry Magid will facilitate a conversation analyzing the debate and the topics covered.
