Everyday objects have long been a source material for my sculptures. My interest is not in creating nostalgic narratives but in referencing commonly known objects and spaces through distillation, abstraction and economy of form. By manipulating and estranging these objects I try to make possible new fields of perception or frames of reference. The pieces I create are a testimonial to the ordinary. They are meant to be a reconsideration and reevaluation of the commonplace as a repository of emotional and aesthetic significance.
