My recent body of work plays with the idea of landscape, but of landscape interpreted through the personal, the domestic. I choose materials inspired by memories -- resin, flocking, dark wood paneling, even my own vintage clothing. A number of dichotomies run through this body of work: the intimate and hidden versus the formal and public; the tacky and disposable versus the beautiful and well-crafted; the cheeky and humorous versus serious intent. The line between the decorative and the conceptual is blurred.
