I hope we have a little bit lucky
one of seven C-prints
40”W x 50”H

For this series, I photographed seven pre-adolescent boys at a soccer field. Body language, facial expression, an untied shoe lace or a mud stain on the white shorts allow the individual to become visible despite the uniform. The discomfort of being trapped in a suddenly and rapidly changing body is evident, as is that vague notion of the end of childhood and the beginning of adolescence.
