Iteration of gestures drives the work. By observing the tension of quiet movement through time, the steadfastness of natural growth cycles, the patience required for attention to individuality amid a mass, the slowness of my repetitive and cumulative process, and the long durations built into my practice, I recognize that all time is not the same. I begin to wonder about the relation of temporality and my own presentness.
