Carmen Aiken: Easy Bay Depot for Creative Reuse
On San Pablo Avenue, just south of Ashby is the East Bay Depot for Creative Reuse. From the early 1980's, the Depot has provided Oakland teachers, students, artists and residents with a variety of arts and crafts supplies. The Depot is full of objects such as family photo albums, AC Transit signs and slightly used crayons...and you can fill up your basket of supplies for about 10 dollars.
