These days computers are everywhere. From the classroom to the living room we are living in a technologically saturated world. Computers change the skills needed at the office just as they change our personal communications. For those of us who are used to checking email multiple time a day, having myspace accounts, or reading our morning paper through the sheen of a computer screen the idea of not using computers seems impossible. But technology is expensive. For those who live in lower income neighborhoods access to computers is not a right, but a privilege. And if you who want to compete in a digitalized job market, itıs a necessity. In East Oakland, at the newly revamped Eastmont mall, the Eastmont computer center aims to bridge the digital divide.
