Alumnae and Alumni are welcome to use some of the services of the Mills College Library after graduation. The first step is to obtain your Mills Alumna/us Card from the Office of Alumnae Relations at Reinhardt Alumnae House. Please contact Caitlin McGarty at 510-430-2123 or send an email.

Once you have an Alumna/us card, bring it to the Library so that we can get your current address, phone number and email and attach a library barcode. Please come Monday-Friday 9am-noon and 1pm-5pm during the academic year. Hours vary during summer and holiday periods. Please phone the Circulation Supervisor at 430-2377 if you have questions. Once you are registered in the Library patron database, you are ready to check out materials!

Alumnae/i may borrow a total of 10 items at a time. The following limits apply:  

• Books 10
• Periodicals 5
• Videos/DVDs 3
• CDs 5

There are six computers available for Alumnae/i use. Alumnae/i may use the four OPAC computers (located to the right of the Circulation Desk and at the top of the central staircase) for searching the catalog and the two database computers (located to the left of room 107) for using research databases. Please be aware that access to the Internet (the World Wide Web, email, etc) is only available to alumnae/i who bring laptops and connect to the Mills wireless "Guest" network. The "Mills-Wireless" network is only available to current students, faculty and staff. Printing is not available, but personal flashdrives can be used to save files.
