Computer Usage
There are computers in the reference area for searching the Library's electronic resources and the World Wide Web. There are Macs and PCs under the stairs on the ground floor for checking e-mail and doing word processing. Library computers are for the use of current Mills students, faculty and staff only.  All computers in the library are logged into a special account that enables printing, and individual patrons may not log in using their personal Mills account.

The library is part of the campus' wireless network which provides students with Internet access in all the historic residential living areas and labs, as well as in the library, academic classrooms, and many student gathering places, such as the Tea Shop and Founders Commons. Students wishing to use the wireless network should contact the Computing Services Help Desk at extension 2005 for assistance.

Remote Access to Electronic Resources
The Library's online catalog is accessed at http://library.mills.edu. Click on the Databases & Electronic Resources link to be connected to the list. Databases can be accessed directly from anywhere on campus. No password is required.  To use the databases remotely (from off campus), you must have a Mills e-mail account, e.g., jdoe@mills.edu. Entering your Mills user name, e.g., jdoe, and password will allow you to use the databases remotely.  If you are uncertain of your Mills user name and password, call the Computing Services Help Desk at extension 2005 for information. Problems accessing the Database and Electronic Resources can be reported to the Library Systems Adminstrator.
