Embassy World: A directory and search engine for embassies and consulates around the world. 

Tourism Offices Worldwide Directory: A database listing official government tourism offices, convention and visitors bureaus, chambers of commerce and similar agencies that provide free, accurate and unbiased travel information to the public.

ATM Worldwide Locators (Visa/Plus): Locate Visa/Plus compatible ATMs around the world.

ATM Worldwide Locators (Mastercard/Maestro/Cirrus): Locate Mastercard/Maestro/Cirrus compatible ATMs around the world.

Travel Warnings: Travel warnings are issued by the State Department, based on all relevant information, to recommend that Americans avoid travel to a certain country. Countries where avoidance of travel is recommended will have Travel Warnings as well as Consular Information Sheets.

The Travelers' Health Website: This site is from the Centers for Disease Control and has information on disease outbreaks and geographic health recommendations including vaccinations.

The International Association for Medical Assistance to Travelers (IAMAT): Membership to this association is free and offers you a network of physicians, hospitals, and clinics around the world that offer services in English and doctors that have been trained in North America and Europe. IAMAT doctors also agree to a set payment schedule for medical treatment in American funds.

Help for World Travelers: A comprehensive listing of international telephone and electrical information. Especially useful are the searchable listings of international dialing codes and international plugs and voltages.

Universal Packing List: Generates a personalized packing list for you based on where you're going, how long you're going for and what you want to do while you're there.

The Crazy Dog Travel Guide: A budget travel site providing information, tips, advice and tons of links for traveling abroad by backpack.

One Bag: Examines "the art and science of traveling light" with advice on how you can travel for an indefinite length of time with only one carry-on size bag.

BUNAC: A consortium of British universities that offer opportunities for undergraduate students to work abroad in Britain, Ireland, Australia, or New Zealand.

Lonely Planet: Website of the superb travel guides. Detailed information on just about every country in the world, a message board where you can get information from fellow travelers, travel articles, and more.

World Climate or Weather.com: Find out what the weather will be like in any part of the world at a particular time of year. 

STA Travel: A student travel agency offering discounted airfare and more to students. They can be contacted online or by phone, and their closest office to Mills is on Telegraph Ave. in Berkeley.

Independent Traveler Gay and Lesbian Page: Provides travel resources and information specific to gay and lesbian travelers.

US Customs: Get specific information on what you can and can't bring into the US from abroad.

Hostelling International: Find hostels to stay in wherever you are headed.
