Degree Requirements

NOTE: The degree requirements listed below are applicable to all students entering during academic year 2016-2017. Students who entered during a previous academic year should view the degree requirements in their entering year catalog in the catalog archives. Students who wish to switch to the 2016-17 major and minor requirements should submit a new Declaration of Major or Declaration of Minor form to the M Center.

Spanish and Spanish American Studies Minor
Creative Writing in Spanish Minor

Students who wish to major in Spanish and Spanish American Studies are encouraged to pursue the individualized major option.

Spanish and Spanish American Studies Minor
(a minimum of 23 semester course credits)

SPAN 002 Beginning Spanish (4)

SPAN 003 Intermediate Spanish (4)

SPAN 004 Intermediate Spanish (4)

SPAN 101 Advanced Spanish Grammar, Composition, and Translation (4)

SPAN 140 Introduction to Hispanic Literatures (3)

Creative Writing in Spanish Minor
(a minimum of 22 semester course credits)

Prior to beginning this minor, students need to demonstrate language competency on a placement test.

Required:
