Commencement: Expiration of Mills Computing Accounts

If you graduate in January 2016, your Mills email will continue to be open to you through Commencement to facilitate Commencement-related and personal communications. Whether you graduate in January or May 2016, you will have email privileges until July 31, 2016 as a guest of the college. If you are planning to return to Mills in a new program in the fall, all student-related services will start again in time for the next semester.

As an alumna of Mills College, you will continue to have access to the Portal for student records and alumnae email account access.

Mills Alumnae Email

All Mills students are provided with an alumnae email account at the start of the semester of her or his planned graduation. For more information on Mills alumnae email and how to transfer mail from your student Mills email account to your alumnae account, click here.

Preserving Data

If you wish to preserve information from campus file servers (i.e. MyFiles) using Mills computing facilities, you need to do so before the student computing labs are closed at the end of the spring semester. Whether you graduate in January or May 2016, you need to save your data by Sunday, May 15, 2016, 12:00 pm. Labs are closed on the same day and time that traditional residence halls are closed for graduating students. If you need to preserve any of your Google Drive data, you need to do so before Mills email accounts close on July 31, 2016.
