Mandatory Exit Loan Counseling for Federal Stafford Loan Borrowers

Exit Loan Counseling is required for all Federal Stafford Loan recipients and is an excellent opportunity for you to review both your responsibilities and your rights as a student loan borrower. You will be able to complete this requirement online. In early April, you will receive letter in the mail which will include the instructions for completing the online Exit Loan Counseling. The instructions are also provided below for your convenience.

  2. Under “Student Access” choose “California” and click “Get Schools.”
  3. Select “Mills College” from the pull-down menu, select your enrollment level, and then click “Continue.”
  4. Choose “Exit Exam” and take the test to complete your loan counseling requirement.
  5. Be sure to electronically submit the results of your loan counseling by clicking the “Submit Results” button. Note: it is not necessary to submit a paper copy of the results to the M Center.
