Based on student feedback this past year, the M Center will be introducing a series of fun and free workshops that are designed to aid students in being successful at Mills.
Please note that all students who attend a workshop and complete the feedback survey will be automatically entered in a raffle for prizes.

The following is a list of workshops that will be offered throughout the 2009–2010 academic year:
International/Domestic Exchange/Study Abroad September 16, 4:30–6:00 pm Location: Faculty and Staff Lounge at the Tea Shop Thinking about study abroad? Students and faculty will be available to answer questions and share their experiences. Learn about eligibility requirements and application process. Suggested audience: Undergraduates
Mills Online Undergraduate Catalog Workshop September 30, 4:00–5:00 pm Location: Stern 35 Need answers now but the M Center isn't open? Have no fear... Come to this fun and interactive workshop to learn how to get answers from the Mills online catalog. It is a 24/7/365 resource for questions about academic requirements, regulations, deadlines, billing/payment options, financial aid information and more! Suggested audience: Undergraduates
Applying for Graduation October 6 and October 7, 11:30 am–1:00 pm Location: Rothwell Center Visit the "Academic Records Preparing for Graduation" table at the Rothwell Center. Staff will answer general questions about the Undergraduate Application for Graduation and Graduate Petition for Candidacy process. Suggested audience: Seniors and graduate students anticipating to graduate
Applying for Outside Scholarships and Private Bank Loans October 15, 6:00–7:00 pm Location: Natural Sciences Building 212 This workshop provides students with the tools necessary to seek outside sources of aid, including scholarships and private bank loans. Suggested audience: Undergraduates
Managing Your Money October 21, 3:00–4:00 pm Location: Graduate School of Business Building, Room 117 Ever wonder where all your money goes? Being more aware of all your expenses (big and small) can help you learn to cut out unnecessary ones and stay out of debt. Come learn how to budget and manage personal expenses as well as set priorities and stick to them. Topics include: school expenses, living expenses, budgeting, banking information and managing financial credit. Information on available resources will be provided. Suggested audience: Undergraduates

Cross Registration & Summer Transfer Credit Options November 4 and November 5, 11:30 am–1:30 pm Location: Rothwell Center Want to take a class at Berkeley while enrolled at Mills? Considering taking summer courses? Come learn about cross registration and the application process. Learn how to transfer summer course credit to Mills. Suggested audience: All students
Fall 2009 Stafford Loan Exit Counseling November 19, 6:00–7:00 pm Location: Natural Sciences Building 217 This workshop provides students with an opportunity to learn about their Stafford Loans, rights and responsibilities and loan repayment options. All Stafford Loan borrowers are required to complete exit loan counseling. Suggested audience: Fall 2009 graduating Stafford Loan recipients
