Telephone Services   

Telephone Services provides and maintains a comprehensive voice system, data communication pathways, and other telecommunications services to meet the needs of Mills College and its students, faculty and staff.

Student Telephone Service

Each residential room has been assigned a phone line that can receive incoming calls and dial campus, local, tollfree numbers and 911.  Long distance service is not provided, however rechargeable prepaid phone cards are sold at the Cashiers window in Sage Hall.  Each residential student is assigned a personal voicemail box.

The College provides a touch-tone phone in each room.  The campus is equipped with an E911 system that gives the exact location of the call to the Oakland Police Department and Mills College Public Safety when 911 is dialed from any residential line or office phone.

Administrative Telephone Service

Telephone Services provides Mills College faculty and staff with the following end-user and departmental services: campus, local, and long-distance dialing, voicemail, cellular/wireless service, billing, moves, adds and changes, and repair.
