The Women in Public Service ProjectMills College has joined several prominent women’s colleges in the Women in Public Service Project (WPSP). Launched by US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in partnership with the US Department of State, the goal of the initiative is to identify and educate a new generation of women committed to public service. Under the auspices of the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, the WPSP is working to educate, encourage, and support women to become agents of change in political, social, and economic transitions around the world. Mills has been working with our West Coast sister colleges, Scripps and Mount Saint Mary’s, on the first Latin America Institute which will launch in Southern California in March 2013. Mills will host a second Latin America Institute in Northern California in 2015.
