College 005

All Entering Students are required to take the COLL 005 course within the first year of enrollment. COLL 005 is a non-credit course.

Access to the COLL 005 course will be available in Blackboard Monday, June 22, 2009.

There are two parts to COLL 005:

  1. Mills Information Literacy Evaluation or M.I.L.E. (Modules 1-6)
M.I.L.E. consists of one course with six modules and each module has a corresponding test.

  2. Microsoft Office Training
(Word, Excel & PowerPoint for PC or MAC)
Each of the three Microsoft Office training courses includes a test.

If you are a PC user, take the PC Microsoft Office training. The training and corresponding tests should be taken on a PC.

If you are a Mac user, take the Mac Microsoft Office training. The training and the corresponding tests should be taken on a Mac.

You must pass all 9 tests (6 for M.I.L.E., 3 for Microsoft Office -- one each for Word, Excel & PowerPoint) with a score of 70% or higher on each test to fulfill your COLL 005 requirement.  Tests may be taken multiple times with your highest score being retained.
