Graduate Computer Science Requirements & Deadlines
The priority deadline for receipt of all application materials is February 1 for fall admission. The priority deadline for spring admission is November 1. Due to the additional application requirements, international applicants must submit all application materials by December 15 for fall admission and October 1 for spring admission. Required Materials: All applicants to the graduate degree and certificate programs at Mills College are required to submit the following: Graduate Application for Admission: Complete all sections of the online or hard-copy application as indicated, including a required Statement of Purpose essay. The essay should be typed, double spaced, and one to two pages in length. Application Fee of $50: Payable to Mills College by check or money order, drawn on a U.S. bank. Credit cards and electronic checks are accepted for online application submission. Cash is not accepted. Official Transcripts: One official transcript with grades from each post-secondary institution attended toward receipt of bachelor's degree should be sent directly by each institution to the Office of Graduate Admission. Please Note: Immediately upon completion of the baccalaureate degree requirements, it is your responsibility to send a final transcript with the degree posted to our office. Three Letters of Recommendation: Special recommendation forms can be downloaded or sent as part of the online application. Special Admission Requirements: In addition to the regular graduate admission requirements, applicants to the Interdisciplinary Computer Science Master’s Program and the advanced-degree track of the post-baccalaureate program must have the equivalent of: Provisions may be made to complete these requirements through the Mills post-baccalaureate certificate program. Applicants must possess a bachelor's degree in a major other than computer science. International students should be aware of the Special Information for International Students section which outlines additional admission requirements.
