Reunion 2008: Going Away, Coming Home

No matter how diverse were your paths after commencement, Reunion is one destination you and Mills friends will always share.
Mills College invites all alumnae to come back to campus for a spectacular Reunion 2008. This year we celebrate, in particular, the Golden Girls of 1958 and alumnae from class years ending in 3 and 8.*
Reunion highlights
The Alumnae Association of Mills College (AAMC) and the College's Alumnae Relations Program are producing four days of activities and events that honor longstanding traditions, recognize recent College and alumnae achievements, and ensure an unforgettable homecoming for you and far-flung friends. A preview of the schedule follows:
Thursday, September 18
- 50th Reunion events for the Class of 1958
- Cocktail reception and dinner for all Golden Girls
Friday, September 19
- Faculty panels
- Convocation for the 2008-09 academic year with speaker Trisha Brown '58, first woman choreographer to be awarded a MacArthur Fellowship
- BBQ organized by Alumnae of Color
- Garden reception hosted by Mills College President Janet L. Holmgren
- Dinner show
- Darius Milhaud Concert dedicated to the late Madame Milhaud
Saturday, September 20
- Jane's Stroll, a walking tour of campus
- State of the College presentation by Mills College President Janet L. Holmgren and AAMC President Anita Aragon Bowers '63
- Distinguished Alumnae Awards luncheon
- Class photo sessions and dinners for undergraduate alumnae from class years ending in 3 and 8;* graduate department photo sessions
*Class photos and dinners are being organized for the Classes of 1938, 1943, 1948, 1953, 1958 (50th Reunion), 1963, 1968, 1973, 1978, 1983, 1988, 1993, 1998, and 2003.

- Remembrance service
- Piano concert
- Three-day post-Reunion Wine Country trip begins
And there's more! You'll have the opportunity to enjoy a presentation by Professor of Studio Art Hung Liu (whose installation at the Oakland International Airport, Going Away, Coming Home, has inspired the theme of this Reunion); music, dance, and other performances by some of Mills' most talented alumnae; graduate alumnae activities; financial planning seminars; activities with current Mills student-athletes, the Cyclones; and tours of The Offering Table: Activist Women Artists from Korea, an exhibition at the Mills College Art Museum—all soon to be scheduled.
Literary Salon. One of the most popular events at Reunion each year, the salon features readings by alumnae authors of published work in a variety of genres—fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and drama. How to get the scoop on Reunion and register
Brochure. A brochure with complete information about Reunion events and a registration form will be mailed in June to all alumnae from class years ending in three or eight. If you are not a member of one of those classes but would like to receive the brochure, please call us at the number below or send an email with "Reunion brochure" in the subject line and let us know your full name as a student and current name (if different), and your class year, phone number, and mailing address.
