Ways to Engage

Alumnae choose to engage with each other and with Mills College in myriad ways, reflecting the diversity of their life paths. Most activities for alumnae are organized by College staff in partnership with the Alumnae Association of Mills College.

Engage with Mills College

As an alumna, you enjoy abundant opportunities to connect with college friends, professors, and Mills leaders through activities supported by the College’s Office of Alumnae Relations. These activities include:

  • Reunion, a three-day celebration that welcomes each graduating class back to campus every five years
  • Events for alumnae on campus and around the world
  • Volunteer programs that support Mills students, other alumnae, and the College

Learn about all of these opportunities and find new ways to connect online through the Mills College Alumnae Community. Designed exclusively for Mills alumnae, this online community provides comprehensive information about volunteering, services, class and club activities, events, and news. It also contains password-protected class notes and a searchable directory of alumnae.

In addition, alumnae engage with Mills through their giving. Philanthropic support from alumnae is essential to the success of current Mills students and to maintaining the College’s academic and creative excellence.

Engage with the Alumnae Association

As soon as the class with which you are affiliated graduates, you become a Mills alumna and a member of the Alumnae Association of Mills College (AAMC). Founded in 1879, the AAMC is an independent, inclusive community that elects representatives to the Mills College Board of Trustees, links students and alumnae, co-sponsors events with the College, organizes alumnae travel programs, and celebrates the outstanding achievements of Mills alumnae.

The AAMC issues a membership card, free of charge, that gives you access to the College’s pool, fitness center, and F. W. Olin Library, as well as discounted admission to most concerts on campus.
