Summer Aquatics Job Openings 2012

Summer 2012 openings include morning and evening swim lessons; Lifeguard Training; Camp H2O, a fun water activity camp for 10-14 year olds; plus Lap Swim and Recreational Swim.

Who are we looking for? Individuals who enjoy working with people, are motivated, dedicated, hard-working, dependable and punctual.

Our summer staff is about thirty people strong, working as lifeguards, swim instructors and/or pool attendants.

Lifeguard

Requirements:

  • Current Lifeguard Training certification including CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer or current enrollment in a Lifeguard Training class with certification to be completed by June 10, 2012.
  • Work Permit if still in high school and under 18 years of age.
  • Available to work throughout the summer season (June 16–August 5).
  • Available to work 20–40 hours per week.
  • Reliable transportation to get to and from work in a timely manner.

Starting pay rate: $9.50 per hour

Water Safety Instructor (WSI)

Requirements:

  • Current American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certification or current enrollment in a Water Safety Instructor class with certification to be completed by June 10, 2012;
  • Work Permit if still in high school and under 18 years of age;
  • Available to work throughout the summer season (June 16–August 5);
  • Available to work 20–40 hours per week; and
  • Reliable transportation to get to and from work in a timely manner.

Starting pay rate: $11.00 per hour

Pool Attendant/Cashier

Requirements:

  • Current CPR/AED/First Aid certification or current enrollment in a CPR/AED/First Aid class with certification to be completed by 6/10/2012.
  • Work Permit if still in high school and under 18 years of age.
  • Available to work throughout the summer season (June 16–August 5).
  • Available to work 20–40 hours per week; and
  • Reliable transportation to get to and from work in a timely manner.

Starting pay rate: $9.00 per hour

Interviews and skill testing are scheduled for May 29–June 2.
