Laura Davis is a graduate of the Mills College MFA in Creative Writing program, and coached at Wayzata High School in Minneapolis, Minnesota before coming to Mills. She ran Division 1 cross country and track at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, and also ran the Boston Marathon in 2001.
During her first year at Mills, she started a Track and Field PE class, which set the groundwork for track and field to become a new Mills Athletic team in 2008.

Bianca Hovda is a 2003 graduate of Mills College in the psychology program. She has been an assistant cross country coach at Mills College since 2003. During her first year as a student at Mills, she was the coxswain for the rowing team. She then ran 3 years of cross country.
This past season, she assisted the Track & Field PE class, which will turn into a new Mills Athletic team in 2008.
