Laura Davis is a graduate of the Mills College MFA in Creative Writing program, and coached at Wayzata High School in Minneapolis, Minnesota before coming to Mills.  She ran Division 1 cross country and track at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, and also ran the Boston Marathon in 2001.

During her first year at Mills, she started a Track and Field PE class, which set the groundwork for track and field to become a new Mills Athletic team.  The Mills track and field season enjoyed its first season in the spring of 2008.

Katherine Williams
Assistant Cross Country Coach

Katherine graduated in May 2008 with her Masters in Health Promotion and Kinesiology from the University of Texas at San Antonio. She has coached a variety of athletes, ranging from five years old to forty five, in triathlon and running. Her coaching style is a blend of the best aspects of all the coaches she has had during her fifteen years as an athlete. Katherine competed at Texas A&M in College Station and the University of Texas at San Antonio. Katherine's favorite workout is hill repeats at race pace effort. She is excited to be the assistant coach for the Mills College cross country team.

Winston Wong
Throws Coach

Winston Wong has been either coaching or competing in track and field for over 18 years. A gifted coach in all of the throwing events, Winston joined the Mills Track & Field staff in its very first season in 2008, and has since then helped both seasoned veterans and new athletes excel in the throws.
