Soccer Coach Colette Bowler joined Mills College as the inaugural head coach of the soccer program in 1994. During her time at Mills, Colette has coached numerous all-conference players, scholar-athletes and has quided her teams to several conference playoff berths. Prior to her time at Mills, Colette served as the Graduate Assistant at St Mary’s College where she earned her Master of Arts in Athletic Administration and Physical Education. As an undergraduate, Colette competed competitively at University of Massachusetts at Amherst where she was three-year varsity letter. While at Amherst she helped guide her team to three conference championships, two NCAA appearances and a #2 national ranking. Colette has been actively involved with the sport of soccer for more than 35 years and believes that anyone can learn and play soccer. Her philosophy is that everyone has a place on the team, inclusive of a variety of skill levels. Colette emphasizes commitment to the team and expects team members to have a strong desire to learn about the sport. Simply put, Colette loves soccer and wants others to love soccer, as such the motto on the team is to "play hard and have fun!" |
