Mills College Community Tennis Program

Community TennisThe Mills Community Tennis Program (MCTP) is a comprehensive community outreach initiative founded by  Mills Tennis. The program’s mission is to expand opportunities for inner-city youth through tennis coaching, academic tutoring and mentoring.

Trefethen Aquatic Center Swim Lessons

Adult and child swim lessons are available at the pool. Private lessons are available year round, by arrangement. Group lessons (children and adult) are available during the summer. Lifeguard and water safety instructor training are available in the late spring and throughout summer, as well. Read more

You Go, Girl!

The Mills College track and field program founded and runs both a fall and spring season of You Go, Girl!, an after-school program focused on mentoring and teaching track and field skills to underserved girls (ages 8–12) in Oakland. The program uses curriculum from the Women’s Sports Foundation’s Go Girl Go! branch, and focuses on sportsmanship, building self-esteem, nutrition, body image, respect, drug prevention, and healthy competition.  There are 15 spots each semester, and interested students, teachers, and parents should contact Head Track and Field Coach Laura Davis at ldavis@mills.edu or 510.430.3282.
