ID Validation and Move-In

ID Validation and Move-In Instructions

After clearing their student accounts with the M Center each semester (by paying in full or creating an approved payment plan and making their first payments), students must complete the steps outlined below to validate their Mills ID cards and, if applicable, to pick up housing keys. For information about clearing your student account please contact Student Accounts in the M Center:

All undergraduate and graduate students must validate their IDs every semester. For spring 2014, this must be done at Housing Management and Dining Services (HMDS) by Tuesday, January 28, 2014, at 5:00 pm.

Residential Students
1. Go to HMDS (Sage Hall 138) to obtain/validate your Mills ID/meal card (students who have lost their ID cards must get replacements and will be charged a $20 fee), and to obtain your residence hall keys (residential keys from the fall semester are still valid for the spring semester).
2. Go to the Mail and Copy Center in Rothwell Center to get your PMB combination and activate your Personal Mail Box. Note: Mail will be sent to this address even if you do not get your combination. (PMBs activated for the fall semester do not need to be reactivated for the spring semester.)
3. See Public Safety in CPM 113 to obtain a parking permit (if needed). All students using cars on campus must have a parking permit that is valid for the 2013–14 academic year. (Parking permits issued in the fall are still valid for the spring semester.)
4. Move into your residence hall.

Commuter Students
1. Go to HMDS (Sage Hall 138) to obtain/validate your Mills ID. Students who have lost their ID cards must get replacements and will be charged a $20 fee.

3. You can return to HMDS (Sage Hall 138) starting Tuesday, September 4, 2012, 9:00 am–5:00 pm, to pick up campus lounge keys; they are not issued until the second week of the semester.

After clearing their student accounts with the M Center each semester, students may pick up residential keys and obtain/validate their Mills IDs according to the following schedule:

New Residential Students (Undergraduate and Graduate)

New Commuting Students (Undergraduate and Graduate)

Returning Residential Students (Undergraduate and Graduate)

Last names beginning with:

A–G: 11:00 am–12:30 pm

H–P: 12:45–2:15 pm

Q–Z: 2:30–4:00 pm

Returning Commuting Students (Undergraduate and Graduate)

Wednesday–Friday, January 22–24,
or Monday–Tuesday, January 27–28, 2014

9:00 am–5:00 pm
