Sacred Days

This Week at Mills

Monday
Festival of Light and Dark planning meeting: 2:30–3:30 pm at the Chapel Office. The Festival of Light and Dark is our annual celebration of our varied faith and spiritual traditions' winter (and near winter) sacred (and cultural) days. For more information, please contact Erika Macs.

Tuesday
Guided Meditation: meets every Tuesday from 5:15-6:15 pm (gather for tea and conversation at 5:15, then begin the meditation right at 5:30). PLEASE be sure to arrive no later than 5:30, as we will close the doors at that time. ALL are welcome. Our Meditation Circle is on a drop-in basis, so feel free to come any Tuesday.

Wednesday
Jewish Student Union: meets this Wednesday at the Chapel Lounge from 5:00-6:00 pm. For more information, please contact Dyanna Loeb.

Workers of Faith: a Christian student fellowship at Mills College, meets every Wednesday (7:00–9:00 pm in the Chapel Lounge). ALL are welcome to come. For more information, please contact: Morgan Ross.

Thursday
Muslim Student Association: meets this Thursday at the Chapel Lounge from 6:30–7:30pm. For more information on activities of the MSA please contact Sahar Momand.

Soul*Full Connections: an inter-faith student group for spiritual exploration, growth and companionship, meets every Thursday (7:45–9:30 pm at the Chapel).

Friday
Mills own Early Music Vocal and Instrumental Ensembles will perform a "Concert of Early Music: a Recital of Medieval, Renaissance and Baroque Music" 12:00 pm at the Chapel. This event only happens twice a year! All are invited.

Upcoming
Mark your calendars for our annual Festival of Light and Dark coming Monday, December 8 at the Chapel.  As noted (above) the Festival of Light and Dark is our community's celebration of our varied religious and spiritual traditions' winter (and near winter) sacred (and cultural) days

4:30–5:30: Festival Fun Time!  Join us for a time of festival-related activities for the young and young at heart!
5:30–6:30: Festival of Light and Dark (in the Chapel)
6:30: Festival Reception at the President's House

The Alameda County Food Drive is currently underway. Donate any healthy, non-perishable items at the Chapel in the big red barrel. For more information visit the Alameda County Food Bank website.
