Arrival By Plane

Mills College is located less than six miles form the Oakland International Airport—about a 15-minute cab drive, typically $20-25. San Francisco International Airport is about 26 miles from campus and a 30-minute drive. If arriving at Orientation in a cab or shuttle, the vehicle should take you to The Oval on campus. Look for the luggage drop-off location. Orientation staff will assist you in dealing with your luggage while you complete the Orientation check-in process.

Arrival By Car

From Downtown Oakland

Take I-580 east toward Hayward-Stockton. *Take the second MacArthur Blvd. exit between High St. and Seminary Ave. exits. Bear right onto MacArthur Blvd. Turn left at the first light onto campus.

From Downtown San Francisco

Take I-80 east to the Bay Bridge and I-580 east toward Hayward-Stockton. Follow directions from * above.

From San Francisco International Airport

Take I-101 north towards I-80 east to the Bay Bridge. Take I-580 east toward Hayward-Stockton. Follow the directions from * above.

From Berkeley and points north

Take I-80 west to I-580 east toward Hayward-Stockton. Follow directions from * above.

From Downtown Berkeley

Take Ashby Ave. to Tunnel Rd. and onto Highway 13 south. Take the San Francisco exit onto I-580 west, stay in the exit lane and immediately take the MacArthur/High St. exit. **Turn left at the stop sign and proceed under the freeway overpass. Turn left at light onto MacArthur Blvd. Turn left at the first light onto campus.

From Hayward and points east

Take I-580 west to the MacArthur Blvd./High St. exit just after the junction with Highway 13. Follow directions from ** above.

From Oakland Airport and points south

Take I-880 north to High St., about 2 miles past the Oakland Airport exit. Turn right onto High St. and continue about 3 miles. Go under the freeway overpass and turn right onto MacArthur Blvd. Go under the freeway again, bearing right to the stop sign. Directly ahead, turn left at the first stop light onto campus.
