PRINCETON REVIEW SELECTS MILLS COLLEGE FOR “BEST COLLEGES” SERIES

Oakland, CA - Mills College has been selected as one of the newest additions to The Princeton Review’s “Best Colleges” series to be published in September 2005 by Random House. The Best 361 Colleges will feature Mills as one of 11 schools receiving The Princeton Review's "Best" designation for the first time.

In order to complete The Best 361 Colleges, The Princeton Review collects information from more than 100,000 college students on what their colleges are really like. The guide features narratives covering everything from financial aid to admissions criteria to campus social life. The specific rankings are based on more than 60 categories rating colleges in such areas as academics, political leaning, and quality of life. Individual school rankings on the book’s “Top 20” lists are made public at the time of publication.

Mills College is a nationally renowned, independent liberal arts college offering innovative degree programs for undergraduate women and graduate degree and certificate programs for women and men. Consistently ranked among the top 75 liberal arts colleges in the nation by U.S. News & World Report, Mills is also recognized as one of the country’s 15 most diverse colleges. Nestled in the foothills of Oakland, California on 135 lush acres, Mills provides a dynamic liberal arts education fostering women’s leadership, social responsibility, and creativity.
