Oakland, CA - Mills College swimmer Erin Lucas has been selected by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) to represent Mills at this year’s NCAA Leadership Conference. She was one of 352 student-athletes chosen to participate out of 1,319 nominees from 333 institutions across the country.

The all-expense paid conference will take place at Disney’s Yacht Beach Club Resort in Lake Buena Vista, FLA, May 28 – June 2, 2006.

Lucas was a member of the 200-yard freestyle relay team that broke Mills’ school record at the 25th National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics Championships in March.

Christina Walker, Mills volleyball player, was chosen by NCAA to serve as the College’s alternate.

Mills’ outstanding Athletics, Physical Education, and Recreation Department is a member of the California Pacific Conference, National Collegiate Athletic Association (Division III), and the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics. Mills Cyclones compete in six sports: cross country, rowing, soccer, swimming, tennis, and volleyball.
