MILLS TRUSTEE LAUREN SPEETH IS FEATURED VIOLIN SOLOIST IN COASTSIDE COMMUNITY ORCHESTRA

Oakland, CA - Lauren Speeth, Mills Trustee, performs as violin soloist on Saturday, May 13 at 8 pm at the Coastside Community Theatre in Half Moon Bay, California. The Coastside Community Orchestra began as a small group of local musicians who shared a common dream of a non-professional orchestra that would enhance their community. What began as a handful of enthusiastic players in 1983 is now a multi-talented orchestra of over forty musicians.

Trustee Speeth has an immense passion for the violin. She has studied with the legendary Aaron Rosand as well as some of the Bay area's finest violinists including Jeremy Cohen, Joseph Gold, and Christopher Kranyak. Speeth is an active musician, playing in the First Violin section of the Peninsula Symphony, as well as in festival orchestras and recitals. Her recording credits include solo violin on the CD Tammy Hall: A Joy Restored (track: A Joy Restored), the DVD Tammy Hall: Reflections (track: Summertime), and the elfenworks bumper soundtrack (violin II).
