Alecia DeCoudreaux to Address Future Academic Leaders
Oakland, CA–March 20, 2012 As part of a team of senior-level higher education executives and scholars, Mills College President Alecia DeCoudreaux has been selected to deliver a special address at the Executive Leadership Academy (ELA) at the University of California, Berkeley on March 29. The ELA is an intensive and focused training academy for higher education administrators and faculty from around the world.
DeCoudreaux will share her personal experience as the President of Mills College, an independent liberal arts college for women with graduate programs for women and men. Recognized as a leader in advancing women’s education, Mills is cultivating the next generation of thoughtful, powerful women committed to creating positive change locally, regionally, and globally.
The goal of ELA is to help prepare prospective executive administrators for the new world of higher education. The theme for this year’s academy is “Ten Years from Now: Leading in a Multicultural Environment.”
