President DeCoudreaux Featured on The Forum Discussing the Future of Higher Education in America

Oakland, CA–November 13, 2012 Mills College President Alecia DeCoudreaux was the featured guest on The Forum Sunday, November 11, 2012, sharing her thoughts on the value of a liberal arts education and how it can be beneficial in today’s job market. She described how the innovative programs, diversity, and hands-on academic excellence at Mills help students make great strides academically, professionally, and personally.

Discussing her respect for education, in particular the value of women’s education, DeCoudreaux explained that as long as women are underrepresented in the upper ranks of many fields, strong institutions such as Mills are more important than ever in providing opportunities for women to break through barriers.

Produced before a live audience in San Francisco, The Forum features compelling conversations with leading public figures and artists. Past guests include Nancy Pelosi, Jane Goodall, and authors Khaled Hosseini and Anne Lamott.
