HuffPost Live Features Mills College Professor of Education on the Debate over Cursive Writing in Public Schools

Oakland, CA–November 30, 2012 Ingrid Seyer-Ochi, visiting associate professor of education at the Mills College School of Education, appeared on a segment of HuffPost Live to provide insight on the nationwide debate about teaching cursive writing in schools on Friday, November 30, 2012.

With California remaining one of only three states to mandate the teaching of cursive writing in public schools, Seyer-Ochi weighed in on how the current debate is rooted in social, psychological, and technological changes. Seyer-Ochi has more than two decades of teaching and research experience and serves as director of the Center for Urban Schools and Partnerships based at Mills College.
