Re: Transition Team Update and President-elect DeCoudreaux’s visit

Dear Mills Community,

We look forward to welcoming President-elect DeCoudreaux back to campus next week on April 5th and April 6th. Once again, she will have a very full schedule and opportunity to engage with as many in the Mills community as possible. A schedule of her visit has been posted on the Presidential Transition website here.

The Presidential Leadership Transition Team met with the President-elect on her last visit and will do so on each of her visits to campus. At the last meeting, we began a discussion about Inauguration, which we can now confirm as taking place on Friday, September 23, 2011. This is the week when the College holds Convocation, Reunion and Family Weekend.

There is no doubt that there is much work to do to successfully plan and support all of these historic events. I am happy to announce that Sandra Greer, Provost and Dean of Faculty and Renee Jadushlever, Vice President for Operations will serve as Co-chairs of the Inauguration Committee and will work with other College Officers to set up project teams, as appropriate.

I send you all the best wishes of the Board of Trustees and thank you sincerely, on their behalf, for helping to inform President-elect DeCoudreaux’s visits. I know that she has been exceedingly impressed by all of you and is happy to be learning more and more about the College, its constituents and the potential of this great institution!
