Scholarships and grants are financial assistance provided by organizations, foundations, or the government.

Fellowships are paid positions sponsored by a specific organization lasting from a few months to several years.
Assistantships are paid positions for graduate students that often involve teaching or research. Consult your graduate program to find out what assistantship opportunities are offered.
Loans are borrowed money from private sources or from the government.
