Mission Statement 

The guiding principle of Student Access and Support Services (SASS) affirms the need for access and inclusion as an essential part of our diverse society and the campus community in which we live, work, and learn. Therefore, in partnership with colleagues across our campus, we will work together to assure access to all classes, programs, activities and services. We are committed to fostering a learning environment at Mills that is aware, inclusive, usable, and transformative for all students.

SASS provides opportunities for counsel, advocacy, and advising for students with disabilities or access needs, ensuring their full inclusion into the college community and support of a successful academic and personal experience while at Mills. SASS often serves as a liaison between students and faculty, making available opportunities to discuss questions and concerns about access and inclusion with any member of the Mills community. Students may also work with SASS to secure academic accommodations such as extended time on exams, class relocations, and notetakers, as well as support with residential and housing needs.
