Counseling and Psychological Services

If you'd like to speak to someone regarding personal concerns, Counseling and Psychological Services (CPS) offers confidential individual and crisis counseling, as well as periodic workshops and support groups. As a Mills student, you are eligible for up to eight counseling sessions each academic year free of charge. At CPS, you can also find information about topics on topics such as stress management or get referrals to off-campus resources for ongoing psychiatric and mental health services.

Visit Counseling and Psychological Services in the Cowell Building for more information.

Wellness and Community Outreach

The Office of Wellness and Community Outreach provides the following services: Student Health Plan administration, wellness promotion, educational programs, and individual support to students; including referrals to providers and community resources. As liaison to the Student Health Center, the director’s role is to help students navigate services and follow up on students’ feedback regarding their experiences at the Student Health Center.

All students can contact the office for support with enrolling/waiving the Student Health Plan, selecting a physician, dentist or alternative health provider, or for medical claims and billing related to the Student Health Plan or any health plan under which students are covered.

In support of students’ physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being, resources and referrals to campus and community resources are offered. Some of the concerns in which students are supported are: colds/flu, chronic illness/pain, allergies, injuries, sleeplessness, stress, domestic violence, sexual assault, legal issues, substance use, housing, and financial assistance. Wellness resources are available in the Student Resource Room or Women’s Health Resource Room in the Cowell building or from the director.

Please stop by the Cowell Building or call 510.430.2260 to make an appointment.
