International Students

International students experience new challenges during college and often have special needs and face additional adjustments. To ease your transition, we offer a network of support services to make Mills your second home.

On campus, our international student advisor can help you with many non-academic areas of life including:

  • Orientation to life in the United States, the greater Bay Area, and Mills College
  • USCIS/SEVIS regulations and maintenance of immigration status
  • Employment/Social Security card and DMV registration
  • Housing concerns, either on or off campus
  • Personal issues such as opening a bank account

In addition, the Division of Student Life sponsors events that foster global awareness, promote respect, and facilitate understanding of the many cultures represented at Mills.

Please consult this section regularly for updates regarding visa status, taxes, travel, and other critical issues of concern to international students.
