The following document will guide you through the steps of setting up your Mills username and password, accessing the Mills Resource Portal, checking your email, connecting to MyFiles (personal file storage), and learning about student lab locations and rules. Click on the following link when you are ready to proceed:

New Student Technology FAQ

In addition to the Self-Guided Computer Orientation, you may have questions about technology resources here at Mills.  Please take a look at our New Student Technology FAQ for more information.

Connecting Your Personal Computer to the Internet When On Campus

Only after you have completed the self-guided computer orientation tutorial will you be able to configure your personal computer for Internet access. Once you have completed the tutorial, go to Connecting Your Personal Computer to the Mills Network to view the appropriate instructions for configuration of your personal computer. Laptop and desktop wireless and/or Ethernet cards must be installed before your computer can be configured for Internet access! Installation of all network cards is the responsibility of the student.

About Wireless Cards

Most wireless cards will work on the Mills College network. However, please understand that signal strength can vary from card to card. Information Technology Services urges you to read reviews on individual cards prior to purchase to help ensure your satisfaction with wireless connectivity on campus.
