- Go to the 'Tools' menu and select 'Account Settings'
- In the window that opens, go to the left pane and click on 'Composition & Addressing'
- Click the 'Edit Directories' button
- Click the 'Add' button
- Fill in these fields:
- 'Name:' Mills LDAP Directory
- 'Hostname:' ldap.mills.edu
- 'Base DN:' dc=mills, dc=edu
- 'Bind DN:' uid=USERNAME,ou=People,dc=mills,dc=edu
(replace USERNAME with your Mills login name)
- Check the box next to' Use secure connection (SSL)'
- Click 'OK'
- Click 'OK'
- In the 'Addressing' section of the window under 'Use a different LDAP server:,' click the arrow next to the drop-down menu and select 'Mills LDAP Directory'
- Click 'OK'
- Click the 'Write' button to open a new email message
- Start typing someone's name in the 'To:' field
- You should be prompted for your password. To avoid being frequently asked to enter your password, we recommend checking the box next to 'Use Password Manager to remember this password.'
- Enter your password and click 'Ok'
