Reporting SPAM received at Mills

  1. Do not report SPAM in your SPAM folder, we already know about it.
  2. For email that is not SPAM that gets put in your SPAM folder, see Reporting Non-Spam
  3. The preferred way for you to report SPAM is to use the Webmail "Report as SPAM" feature, this ensures we get all the data for processing.
  4. For non-webmail users, report SPAM in your INBOX by forwarding it to spam-report@mills.edu.
  5. When reporting SPAM, please try to include the Internet headers with the message and do not add ANY text to the body of the message. For details on how to do this, go to the How to include headers page
  6. Inappropriate email should be forwarded to abuse@mills.edu; once again try to include the header if possible.

A final note: SPAM "tagging" is more art then science we are constantly improving the system. With your help we can continue to improve our success with it. Please be aware that sometimes email that is not SPAM will get tagged, we try to keep this to an absolute minimum but it will happen.
