- When prompted, enter your Mills login and password and click Run twice to install FileZilla. Click I agree, Next, Next, Next. Under General Settings, select Use secure mode (this is not the default setting) and then click Install. When finished installing, click Close.
Set Up a New Connection
- Launch FileZilla. You may want to maximize the window.
- From the File menu, select Site Manager...
- In the window that opens, select the New Site button.
- A new connection icon will appear with the name highlighted so you can change it.
- Type one of the following, depending on which server you need to access:

- reports.mills.edu to connect to Reports (storage space for Banner reports for faculty and staff)
- In the 'Site details' area type the following session and login information:

Note: The next time you use FileZilla, go to the File menu and select Site Manager. Then click on the appropriate server name and click Connect. Enter your password when prompted and click OK.
Transfer Files
- In the split-screen window you will see the remote location (myfiles) appear on the right.
- Your local files appear on the left.
- In the Local Site field type: C:\Documents and Settings\
You should see your computer username in the Documents and Settings directory. Locate your username and select the location on your computer where you have files you want to transfer.
Your file server window will be on the right side (remote location) and the files on your C:\ drive will show in the left (Local System) window. You can drag and drop files between the windows.
