Connecting to Mills Servers - SSH for Windows XP 

SSH (Secure SHell) is a secure form of Telnet. 

If you are on a Mills-owned computer in a lab or faculty/staff office, SSH Secure Shell is already installed on your computer.   

Using SSH Secure Shell

Note:  If you do not have an SSH client installed on your computer, you can download SSH Secure Shell below.

Download and Install SSH Secure Shell

  1. Connect to the Internet.
  2. Download SSH Secure Shell here:
  3. Enter your Mills login name and password to download this file and click OK.
  4. When prompted, "Do you want to run or save this file?" select Run.
  5. When prompted, "The publisher could not be verified.  Are you sure you want to run this software?" select Run.
  6. To install the software, click Next, Yes, Next, Next, Next, Next, Finish.
