Faculty Artists
You’ll receive generous individual attention from professors who are internationally renowned artists and deeply committed educators. Three faculty members will form your personal graduate committee.

An expansive art studio will be yours for your entire Mills experience. You’ll also have access to fully equipped sculpture and photo studios, a multimedia lab, the Mills College Art Museum, and more.

Visiting Artists
Through our Art + Process + Ideas artist-in-residence program, several Bay Area artists become part of the campus community each year, exchanging ideas with MFA students and presenting new works.

Student Art Exhibitions
Each year, graduating students work together to curate and promote their MFA thesis exhibition in the Mills College Art Museum, which draws local gallery owners, art dealers, and critics.

Interdisciplinary Community
